Fifty years in conservation
"I acquired this population in the early 1980's and it was one of my first killie fish and my first Chromaphyosemion.
Pierre-Alain De Meuron sent me fish from Switzerland. He had obtained them from Patrick Henri de Rham who had collected them in Benin in 1975.
Over the years, I stopped keeping the fish, but very recently I was entrusted with Pierre-Alain De Meuron's fish again after his death.
Now they hold a special place in my heart and my fishroom and hopefully the fish will be around in another 50 years, marking 100 years of successful conservation of this killifish."
The name "Zagnanado" is also spelled "Zaguanando". - Oliver Legros, 2023 FB.
