The Firestone Plantation at Harbel, Liberia

"Firestone Plantation" and the city of "Harbel" in Liberia are pretty much synonymous at least, the plantaton is the city and vice versa. These are photos Steve Schluesser provided from when he was there with his family as a child. These photos are from 1963 and 1964.

Steve reports he caught ANN "In the creek down by the golf course, I used to net fish to feed the pet crocodile I kept in my bedroom."

"The fish was also dried with salt and spices. Eaten as a snack I have some woven fish traps."
