Plants.tank.jp says the plant was introduced into in cultivation in Japan in 2003. Origin unknown, it goes under the name "West of Dayu"; unknown if they are from the same location as T.S. Wang's plant. Sasaki made two collections there in 2002: codes WD1 and WD1. Likely these are the same but not certain at this point.
